Membership Tiers Launch

This week we rolled out our new membership structure across the channel. Three tiers designed to give different levels of community engagement:

• Recruit ($4.99/month) — Loyalty badges, members-only posts, early access to content 24 hours before public release, and custom emoji access
• Operative ($9.99/month) — Everything in Recruit plus priority replies to comments, monthly members-only livestreams, 10% off SETT equipment, and access to a Discord tier-gated channel
• Commando ($19.99/month) — Full package including Badger App beta access, name in video credits, quarterly calls with Ed, first access to new SETT prototypes, and a private Telegram channel

Existing members get grandfathered at their current price for 90 days with a “Founding Member” badge. The response has been solid — more on numbers in next week’s dispatch.

Animated Series Update

The Badger Squad animated shorts have moved into a more cohesive vibe. Episodes 1–5 are locked and the character dynamics are landing:

Badger — Expensive gear, wrong environment, tacticool movie playing in his head. The delusion is the joke.

Sarge — Twenty years in and over all of it. Brutally simple solutions delivered with world-weary dryness. He’s become the breakout character.

Rookie — Eager gear nerd with potential. Needs one more dimension to avoid becoming pure exposition, but the enthusiasm contrasts well against Sarge’s resignation.

The engine is Badger overexplains → Rookie buys in → Sarge punctures it. That rhythm works, but we’re working on sharper escalation and character revelation as the series progresses.

Discord Expansion

Added tier-gated channels and verification flows for exclusive content access. The Commando-tier Telegram channel went live this week with direct Q&A threads.

If you’re in the Commando tier, check your membership hub for the Telegram invite link. Response times in that channel are sub-hour during business hours.

Recent content shipped this week:

• MWS vs VFC Platform Comparison — Technical breakdown of the latest releases from two heavyweight manufacturers

Both breakdowns include range data, maintenance intervals, and upgrade paths. Links in your members-only feed if you have early access enabled.

SETT Update

New prototypes hitting the Commando tier for feedback. If you’re at that level and haven’t received the notification, check your membership dashboard — the round closes May 15.

Channel Metrics Snapshot

The membership rollout is performing above projection. Retention data will come in next week once the 7-day window closes.
